Unfortunately the application would not run from my USB disk on <a href=\"https:\/\/pop.system76.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pop!_OS<\/a> but i found <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.linuxmint.com\/viewtopic.php?t=82340\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this post<\/a> and followed the steps from the user GopherBaroque which resolved the issue for me. Just in case the steps are also below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your terminal<\/li>\n<li>Determine the UUID of the drives with the command &#8220;<em><strong>sudo blkid<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Create a mount point using the command &#8220;<em><strong>sudo mkdir \/ media \/ USB-Stick<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Enter the stick in the fstab with &#8220;<em><strong>sudo nano \/ etc \/ fstab<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Expand the fstab file with the following line:<\/li>\n<li>UUID=3D72-8344 \/media\/USB-Stick vfat defaults,users,noauto,exec,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0<\/li>\n<li>Instead of &#8220;3D72-8344&#8221; insert the appropriate UUID of the respective stick<\/li>\n<li>Reboot<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Give Securstick a try and be sure to always encrypt your important and sensitive data.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently found Securstick which encrypts a folder on a USB stick and supports Linux, MacOS and Windows.
